Suede is the reverse side of the leather, sanded to achieve a soft and supple appearance. It comes from farms located in Rio Grande do Sul and is tanned in Brazil without hazardous or prohibited chemicals. VEJA uses dyes that comply with regulations while adopting a responsible use of water during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with PFC-free (chemical) water-repellent oils to protect the sneakers from light rain.
